Turn on Wi-Fi Notifications
To receive an alert when a new network has been detected, add a check mark to Notifications. The notification is for new networks
only. If the network detects a previously-known network, it will connect to it without notification.
Receive Notifications for Available Networks
1. Turn on Wi-Fi.
2. Select Notifications. Tap the check box, or press the ENTER key, to add the check mark.
Set up a Hot Spot
Use the instructions in this section to set up the control head as a hot spot. When Hot Spot is turned on, the mobile devices on your
boat can log in and connect to a wireless local area network (WLAN) through the control head.
Set up the Hot Spot
1. Turn on Wi-Fi.
2. Under Hot Spot, select Settings.
3. Select the following menu options, and customize your network with the following settings:
Network Name: Use the on-screen keyboard to name the network.
Security Type: Set to Open, or select a security type.
Security Key: The security key is the password needed to log in to the network (if the security type is not Open). The security
key will auto-populate based on the Security Type selected. You can also use the on-screen keyboard to change the
password.
4. Select Hot Spot. Tap the on/off button, or press the ENTER key, to turn it on.
NOTE: To reset the settings in the Hot Spot menu, select Restore Defaults. Restore Defaults allows you to delete the settings
you've created and start over.
Review Connected Devices
Connected Devices allows you to review the devices connected to the Hot Spot.
1. Under Hot Spot, select Settings.
2. Select Connected Devices.
Review the IP Address
1. Under Hot Spot, select Settings.
2. Select IP Address.
Review the Subnet Mask
1. Under Hot Spot, select Settings.
2. Select Subnet Mask.
Turn off Hot Spot
1. Select Hot Spot.
2. Tap the on/off button, or press the ENTER key, to turn it off.
