Heading alignment
You have mounted the radar sensor facing
straight ahead in the direction of the bow.
Therefore, a small but conspicuous target
dead ahead visually should appear on the
heading line (zero degrees).
In practice, you will probably observe some
small error on the display because of the diffi-
culty in achieving accurate initial positioning
of the sensor. The following adjustment com-
pensates for this error.
1. Open the menu, Picture menu:
1) iPad: Tap the menu tab at the bottom
right corner to open the menu.
iPhone: Tap anywhere to open the
menu.
2) iPad, iPhone: Tap the (
open the Picture menu.

2. Tap the menu navigation buttons (

3. Visually identify a suitable target (for ex-
ample, ship or buoy) at a range between
0.125 to 0.25 miles.
4. Point your boat's bow directly toward the
target selected at step 3.
5. Locate the target selected at step 3 on the
display and choose a range which places
the target in the outer half of the picture.
6. Adjust the slider bar so the target be-
comes centered on the heading line.
Timing adjustment
The timing is automatically adjusted. Howev-
er, if a "straight" target (harbor wall, etc.) ap-
pears to be pushed or pulled, as shown
below, adjust the sweep timing to straighten
the target and prevent incorrect placement of
all targets.

1. Transmit on a range between 0.125 and

1 in "Heading alignment".
