Questions and answers
how do you adjust tx hv when it is low
To adjust the TX HV (transmit high voltage) on a Furuno 2127 when it is low, follow these steps:
1. Adjust the variable transformer output (input voltage to the processor unit) to:
- 144 VAC for 100 VAC systems
- 288 VAC for 220 VAC systems
2. Turn on the radar and slowly rotate R21 counterclockwise until the overvoltage detection circuit activates (the power supply cuts off).
3. Lower the transformer output voltage and confirm the radar turns on again automatically below:
- 142 VAC for 100 VAC systems
- 284 VAC for 220 VAC systems
4. Slowly raise the transformer output voltage and confirm the overvoltage detection circuit activates at:
- 144 VAC for 100 VAC systems
- 288 VAC for 220 VAC systems
5. Reassemble and connect the processor unit.
