CAUTION
Improper jacking may cause damage to the oil
filter.
Do not apply the jack head to the oil filter when
jacking up the motorcycle.
NOTE:
Never squeeze the front brake lever
with the front wheel removed. It is very diffi­
cult to force brake pads into the caliper
assembly.

Loosen the front axle and draw it out.

To reinstall the front wheel assembly,
reverse the sequence described above

Locate the speedometer drive gear box
so that the cable is routed smoothly
without an excessive bend

6. Slide the front wheel forward
