"LOWER"
line when holding the motorcy ­
cle vertically

No fluid leakage
• Smooth and sure action of clutch lever
Inspect
the clutch fluid level in the clutch
fluid reservoir.
Brake fluid is
harmful
or
fatal
if swallowed, and
harmful
If it
comes in contact with skin
or eyes.
If
swallowed,
do not induce
vomiting.
Immedi­
ately contact a polson control center or a physi­
cian.
If brake fluid gets in
eyes,
flush eyes with
water
and
seek medical attention.
Wash
thor­
oughly after handling. Solution can be
poison­
ous to animals. Keep out of the reach of
children and
animals.

Failure to
keep
the
clutch
fluid
reservoir full with
the
proper brake
fluid
can be hazardous. The
clutch may
not
work
correctly without
the
proper
amount
and type
of
brake
fluid. This
could
lead to
an
accident.
Inspect
the clutch
fluid
level
before
each
use.
Use
only
DOT4
brake fluid
from a
sealed
con ­
tainer.
Never
use or mix different types
of
brake
fluid. If there is frequent loss
of
fluid,
take
your
motorcycle to
a
SUZUKI
dealer or a qualified
mechanic for
Inspection.
CAUTION
Spilled brake
fluid
can damage painted surfaces
and plastic
parts.
Avoid spilling any
fluid
when filling the reser ­
voir.
Wipe up spills
Immediately.
FINAL GEAR
OIL
Change the gear oil at initial 1000 km (600
miles) and inspect every 12000 km (7500
miles). Use SAE90 hypoid gear oil which is
rated GL-5 under API classification system.
If
you operate the motorcycle where ambi ­
ent
temperature is below O °C (32°F) use
SAEBO hypoid gear oil. The procedure is as
follows:
1. Place the motorcycle on the side
stand.
2. Remove the oil filler cap
CD.
3. Drain the oil into a suitable
container
by
removing the drain plug
~
from the bot­
tom of the final gear case while holding
the motorcycle vertically
.

4. Reinstall the drain plug and tighten it
securely after all the oil has been
drained out. Pour fresh oil through the
filler hole until the oil level reaches the
oil filler hole while holding the
motorcy­
cle vertically. Approximately 200 - 220
ml
(6 .B - 7,4/7.0 -
7.7 USlimp oz) of oil
will be required.
5. Rei nstall the oil filler
cap.
Operating the
motorcycle
with too little final
gear
011 can cause the
final
drive
unit to
lock up
and
cause
an accident.
Check
for
leaks
and the
correct
level
of final
gear 011 before each use. Add 011
if necessary.
Tighten the drain plug securely after changing
the
gear
011.
