GEARSHIFT LEVER
This motorcycle has 5-speed transmission
which operates as shown. To shift properly,
pull the clutch lever and close the throttle at
the same time you operate the gearshift
lever. Lift the gearshift lever to upshift and
depress the lever to downshift. Neutral is
located between 1 st and 2nd gear. When
neutral is desired, depress or lift the lever
halfway between 1 st and 2nd gear.

NOTE: When the transmission is in neutral,
the green indicator light on the instrument
panel will be lit. However, even though the
light is lit cautiously and slowly release the
clutch lever to make sure that the transmis­
sion is positively in neutral.
Reduce your road speed before downshift­
ing. When downshifting , the engine speed
should be increased before the clutch is en­
gaged. This will prevent unnecessary wear
on the drive train components and rear tire .

HELMET HOLDER
This motorcycle has two helmet holders.
Insert the key and turn it clockwise to open
the latch . Hook your helmet fastener ring to
the latch and turn the key back to lock the
holder.
