SUPERSCRIPTS AND SUBSCRIPTS
With this feature, you can print characters slightly above the
print line (superscripts) for footnotes and exponents, and
characters slightly below the print line (subscripts) for
formulas.
For added compatibility with word processing systems, these
two features cancel each other; that is, a subscript code stops
superscript printing, and a superscript code cancels subscript
printing. You can also use the separate cancelling codes
given below.
