The bulb is pressurized
and can cause injury if
damaged.
Wear eye and hand protection
when replacing bulbs.
An overview of the bulb
types installed in your
motorcycle is provided in the
chapter "Technical Data".
Do not touch the glass
of new bulbs with your
fingers. For installation, use
a clean, dry cloth. Dirt de-
posits, in particular oil and
grease, interfere with heat ra-
diation from the bulb. Over-
heating and therefore short
service life of the bulbs are
the consequence.
Low and high-beam
High-beam headlight 1 and
low-beam headlight 2. The
high-beam bulb is replaced
light the low-beam bulb.
However, the high-beam bulb
is secured with a single-leg
vertical spring strap.
Replacing low-
beam/high-beam
bulb
If it is not standing firm-
ly, the motorcycle could
topple in the course of the
operations described below.
Make sure that the motorcy-
cle is steady on its stand.
To achieve better acces-
sibility, turn the handle-
bars to the left.
Make sure the ground is
level and firm and park the
motorcycle.
Switch off ignition.
Remove cover 3 by turning
counterclockwise.
