CUSTOMER SMART CARD READER failure

2.6.1
Symptoms
-
Absence of reaction of the terminal after the card has been introduced into the reader.
Occurrence of an error message on the display after reading card.

Procedure (when original KEYPAD type is equipped)
1.
Check the CARD_READER & CARD_READER_BOX (foreign body, fatty
substance, dust, etc ...).
Clean the pieces if possible, change them if need.

If the failure is still present, change the PCB_KEYBOARD by a new one.
2.6.3
Procedure (when FLEX_KEYPAD type is equipped)
!! Do not continu if you did not read MI-15.
Due to FLEX_KEYPAD integration constraints, we strongly advice you to check
PCB_KEYBOARD functionalities when the FLEX_KEYBOARD_SET is open.

Check the CARD_READER & CARD_READER_BOX (foreign body, fatty
substance, dust, etc ...).
Clean the pieces if possible, change them if need.
During this operation, check the PCB_KEYBOARD on a reference Terminal (a
golden sample).
Change the PCB_KEYBOARD if failure occurs.
