32 Installing the Base

Attaching Infant Carrier to Base

1 Align the infant carrier with
the slots in the base, ensuring
that the infant carrier faces the
rear of the vehicle.
4 Rotate the handle to any
locked position.
2 Set the infant carrier into base
until an audible click is heard.
Pull up on the infant carrier

handle to ensure it is properly
secured.

Releasing Infant Carrier from Base

1 If necessary, rotate the handle
into the carrying position.
3 Squeeze and hold the release
handle.

2 Locate the release handle at
the rear of the infant carrier.
4 Lift the infant carrier away
from the base.
