CORRECTIVE ACTION
Change the remote batteries.
Operate the remote at a slow measured pace.
Press the remote control buttons with an even mo-
tion and gentle pressure. Repeatedly pressing but-
tons in rapid succession may cause the transmitter
to malfunction.
Check for any obstructions between the connector
and the iPhone/iPod.
If your iPod/iPhone is using a case, remove the
case and re-dock the iPhone/iPod.
Turn down the volume.
If the iPhone/iPod original sound source is of poor
quality, distortion and noise are easily noticed with
high-power speakers. Try a different audio source
such as a music CD.
If you are using an external sound source like older
generation of iPod, try reducing the output volume
on the device itself.
Try changing the bass and treble settings using the
remote control.
Turn the unit off for a period of time or lower the
volume.
Check that the unit is plugged into a
standard 120V outlet. Press the Power button
several times, make sure power is set to the ON
position.
Press the Flame button several times.
Check your heater cord and plug connections.
Faulty wall outlet connections or loose plugs can
cause the outlet or plug to overheat. Be sure the
plug fits tight in the outlet. Heaters draw more
current than small appliances, overheating of
the outlet may occur even if it has not occurred
with the use of other appliances. During use
check frequently to determine if your plug outlet
or faceplate is HOT! If so, discontinue use of the
heater and have a qualified electrician check and/
or replace the faulty outlet(s).
Adjust the temperature settings to ensure that the
thermostat is set higher than the current room
temperature.
Turn the Power button to "OFF" and unplug the
unit from the wall outlet for 5 minutes. After 5
minutes plug the unit back into the wall outlet, and
operate as normal. If the problem persists contact
customer service.
With the power on press and hold the Power
button on the control panel for 10 seconds. Once
re-enabled the ember bed lights will flash multiple
times.
