You can adjust the telephone base or handset chime volume level, or turn the chime off.

Quiet Mode

You can turn on the quiet mode for a period of time (1-12 hours). During this period,
all tones (except paging tone and chime), voice announce caller ID and call screening are muted.
When you turn on the quiet mode, the answering system turns on automatically. When the quiet mode
duration expires, the answering system remains on.
to set the quiet mode duration:
1.
Press and hold

The handset displays Set QUIet MoDe DURAtIon
(1 to 12 hours). Press
desired duration (1-12).

to confirm. The handset displays Answering system and chime tone is on during
quiet mode and then returns to idle. The handset displays AnS on,
when the handset is not in use.
