Connectors with
dust caps
Touch screen
Wet connectors must be dry before attaching the dust cap.
The top of the touch screen is a thin, flexible polyester plastic sheet with a conductive
coating on the inside. The polyester can be permanently damaged by harsh chemicals
and is susceptible to abrasions and scratches. The chemicals listed below must not
come into contact with the touch screen:
• sodium hydroxide
• concentrated caustic solutions
• benzyl alcohol
• concentrated acids
Using sharp objects on the touch screen can scratch or cut the plastic, or crack the
internal conductive coating.
