Choosing a disinfectant
According to Guideline for Disinfection and Sterilization in Healthcare Facilities in 2008, you should clean your
glucose meter after every use to prevent any possibility of cross infection. Wipes used should be
EPA-registered as a disinfectant. Many EPA-registered disinfectant wipes have "2-minute" claims. If your wipes
have higher or lower kill times, you should adjust your technique accordingly.
