Clock Spread Spectrum
Select Enable to use the feature of Clock Spectrum, which will allow the BIOS to
monitor and attempt to reduce the level of Electromagnetic Interference caused by
the components whenever needed. The options are Disabled and Enabled.
Advanced Chipset Control
The items included in the Advanced Settings submenu are listed below:
CPU Bridge Confi guration
QPI (Quick Path Interconnect) Links Speed
This feature selects data transfer speed for QPI Link connections. The options
are Slow-Mode, and Full Speed.
QPI Frequency (Available if the item - QPI Speed is set to Full Speed)
This feature allows the user to select the desired QPI frequency. The options
are Auto, 4.800 GT, 5.866GT, 6.400 GT.
QPI L0s and L1
This feature allows the user to set the QPI power state to a low setting. L0s and
L1 are automatically selected by the motherboard. The options are Disabled
and Enabled.
Memory Frequency
This feature forces a DDR3 module to run at a frequency other than what the sys-
tem has detected. Select Force SPD (Serial Presence Detect) to force the module
to run at a frequency specifi ed on the SPD table. The available options are Auto,
Force DDR-800, Force DDR-1066, Force DDR-1333 and Force SPD.
Memory Mode
The options are Independent, Channel Mirror, and Lockstep.
When this feature is set to Independent, all DIMMs are available to the operat-
ing system.
When this feature is set to Channel Mirror, the motherboard will maintain two
identical copies of all data in memory for redundancy.
When this feature is set to Lockstep, the motherboard will use two areas of
memory to run the same set of operations in parallel.
