Plunge cutting (see figure
Plunge cutting may only be used on soft
materials, such as wood, aerated con-
crete, gypsum plaster boards, etc.!
Cutouts in wood can be done without predrilling
by piercing while the machine is running. How-
ever, this requires a certain amount of practice
and is possible only with short saw blades.
Place the front edge of the base plate on the
workpiece and switch on. Press the machine
firmly against the workpiece and plunge the saw
blade slowly into the workpiece.
After reaching the required cutting depth, bring
the machine again to the normal working position
so that the complete surface of the base plate
rests on the workpiece and continue to saw along
the cutting line.
After completing the cut, switch off the machine
first and then pull it out of the cut.

Sawing metal

Because of the heat generated when sawing
metal, apply a cooling or lubricating agent along
the cutting line.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Before any work on the machine itself, pull the
power plug.
For safe and proper working, always keep the
machine and the ventilation slots clean.
To prevent malfunctions from excessive soil-
ing, materials that produce large amounts of
dust such as plaster board should not be
worked from below or overhead.
Under extreme working conditions,
conductive dust can accumulate in the
interior of the machine when working
with metals, wich can impair the protec-
tive insulation of the machine.There-
fore, in such cases it is recommended
that stationary dust extraction equip-
ment be used as well as the frequent
blowing out of the ventilation slots and
the installation of a residual current de-
vice (RCD).
The guide roller 7 should occasionally be
checked for wear and lubricated with a drop of oil.
If it is worn, it must be replaced.
