POSSIBLE CAUSE
1. Tilt or raising clamp knobs not tightened.
2. Blade out of balance.
3. Bad motor.
4. Pulleys loose
5. Belt is worn or cut.
6. Saw is not resting evenly on the floor.
1. Mitre gauge out of adjustment.
2. Mitre slot misaligned.
1. Excessive feed.
2. Bad motor.
3. Dull or incorrect blade.
4. Mitre slot misaligned.
5. Fence misalignment.
1. Stop screws not set properly.

1. Clamp knobs not released.
2. Worm and worm gear segment caked
with sawdust or pitch.

SOLUTION
1. Tighten the knobs.
2. Change the saw blade.
3. Replace the motor.
4. Tighten pulley set screws.
5. Replace the belt.
6. Shim the feet.
1. Reset stops and pointer.
2. Realign the table.
1. Reduce the feed.
2. Replace the motor.
3. Replace the saw blade.
4. Replace the work table
5. Realign the fence.
1. Readjust the stop screws.
1. Unclamp.
2. Clean and re-grease.
3. Realign the worm and worm
gear segment.

condition such as reducing
the feed rate.
