4.2.2 Travel
CAUTION!
Do not drive the truck unless the panels and covers are closed and properly locked.
Requirements
– Start up the truck, (see "Starting up the truck" on page 44)
Procedure
• Control the travel speed with the travel switch (5).
• Set the travel switch (5) to the desired travel direction: forward (V) or reverse (R).

When the travel switch is release it automatically returns to its original position.
Z
For trucks with "pedestrian operation" (o) the truck can be operated at reduced
speed (slow travel) without standing on the platform.
The brakes are released and the truck moves in the selected direction.

Preventing the truck from "rolling downhill":
If the truck rolls backwards on an incline the controller detects the situation and the
travel switch brake applies automatically after a short jerk.
