If you have any of these types of vehicle belt systems listed,
NEVER use any of these to install your child restraint in the
vehicle. These vehicle belt systems are UNSAFE to use to
install your child restraint in the vehicle.
If available, LATCH can be used IN PLACE OF these vehicle belt
types. Refer to your vehicle owner's manual for LATCH locations.
Motorized Shoulder Belt with
Lap Belt
Motorized belts will not keep a
child restraint in its seating
position in a sudden stop or crash.
Lap or Shoulder Belt Mounted
on Vehicle Door
These belts are mounted to a door
and will not keep a child restraint
in its seating position in a sudden
stop or crash.
