6. SUSPENSION SYSTEM

End plate hangers are provided to support
reflectors and tubes at both ends of heater,
that is at burner and at flue, See FIG:3
(below), FIGURES:4, 5 and 6 (page 6). Wire
hangers are provided to support the reflectors
and tubes along the full length between the
two end-plate hangers. SEE FIGURES 4, 5,
(PAGE 6) and SECTION 7 (page 7).
The STR 45-10 DOES NOT require wire
hangers, as the reflector is supported at
both ends by the end-plate-hangers.
The system configuration and available
support locations must be considered in order
to locate the radiant tubes correctly.

Labour and material can be reduced by
locating (system configuration permitting)
directly under structural members such as
joists, steel or wood beams, etc.
Chain is recommended for hanging the tube
system, connecting the hangers to beam sup-
port as illustrated in FIGURE: 8 (PAGE 7).
To support burner and keep it level, a sepa-
rate suspension chain must be attached to the
eye hook at the flange-end of the burner and
angled slightly back over burner. SEE FIG: 4
(PAGE 6). This will permit normal expansion
and contraction of the tube system (If rigid
devices such as rods are used in place of
chain, then swing joints or other means of
sufficient length must be provided to com-
pensate for expansion).
