1.
Windscreen adjuster switch
The windscreen is adjusted electrically, by
means of a switch located on the left hand
handlebar.
To adjust the windscreen, the ignition must
be on. Adjustment is possible with the
motorcycle stationary or in motion.
Press the adjustment button upwards to raise
the windscreen and downwards to lower the
windscreen.
The windscreen can be adjusted as follows:
Ignition on - the windscreen can be
adjusted;
Engine started - the windscreen returns
to the position stored at ignition off;
Engine started, but the windscreen has
been adjusted with the ignition on prior
to starting - the windscreen does not
move as the memorised position has
been over-ridden by the user;
Ignition off - the current windscreen
position is stored and the windscreen
lowered.

If the windscreen encounters resistance
before it reaches the lower or upper limit, the
pressure sensitive 'pinch guard' system will
1
activate. The windscreen will stop and reverse
direction slightly to avoid the obstruction.
The pressure sensitive 'pinch guard' system
is designed to function correctly with
Triumph approved windscreens. Fitment of
a non approved or modified windscreen
may affect the correct operation of the
pressure sensitive 'pinch guard' system or
render it inoperative. To avoid personal
injury and damage to the motorcycle
always fit a Triumph approved windscreen.
If the motorcycle battery is disconnected for
any reason, the windscreen memory position
will be lost, and the windscreen will require
manual
adjustment
reconnection.
