THE GLOBAL MENU
The surround processor can manage upto 15 logical inputs. Each logical input can be assigned a
name, an audio input on the rear of the surround processor, and a video input on the rear of the power
supply unit.
When the corresponding input is selected during reproduction mode, the assigned name appears in
the input indicator of the display, and the assigned audio input as well as the assigned video input will
be activated.
Furthermore, the surround mode can be configurated for each input (see SETUP MENU).
During configuration, the unit reproduces the signals which are adjacent to the selected inputs.
In the following menu description, the configuration of input 1 serves as an example.
Activate the GLOBAL MENU and select the menu item In.
Press the key MENU (53).
The display will show In:1 DVD :
Using the keys NEXT (55) and PREV (56) choose the input you wish to configurate.
Press the key MENU (53).
The display will show In:1 DVD:Name:
Using the keys VAL- (57) and VAL+ (58) enter the desired name. For information on the
possible settings, please refer to the table „input names" in APPENDIX B.
The setting ---- means that the input will not be selected during replay mode.
Press the key NEXT (55).
The display will show In:1 DVD:Audio:
Using the keys VAL- (57) and VAL+ (58) select the desired audio input. Information on the
optional settings can be found in the section „rear view of the surround processor" in the
chapter VIEWS OF UNITS.
