LOUDSPEAKER SYSTEMS AND SET-UP

The loudspeakers front left and front right should each have the same lateral
distance from the screen.
The front speakers are obligatory for every surround system.
The center loudspeaker should be placed directly over or under the screen.
The center stabilizes the sound characteristics and supports dialog reproduction.
NOTE: Please make sure that your center loudspeaker is magnetically shielded
or that there is plenty of distance to the screen, otherwise picture quality may
suffer (even permanently) when a tube t.v. is in use.
Set-up for the subwoofer can be chosen freely, since the low frequencies can
hardly be located.
The subwoofer adds a strong foundation to the sound characteristics and
optimizes reproduction of the LFE channel.
NOTE: Please make sure during set-up that there are no objects directly near the
subwoofer which could start vibrating from reflected sound and disturb the sound
quality.
The rear loudspeakers are set up with the appropiate distance left and right from
the listening position or slightly shifted sideways behind the listening position.
The rear loudspeakers support spatial sense of sound and are necessary for
spatial reproduction of surround effects.
The extended channel can be reproduced by one or two loudspeakers.
When using one speaker, it is set up with the appropiate distance behind the
listening position. When using two speakers, they are set up slightly shifted
sideways behind the listening position.
