Loading ini and Auxiliary Files

You can load the device with a configuration file (i.e., ini file) and Auxiliary files (e.g., Call
Progress Tones or Dial Plan files) for enhanced provisioning. For a detailed description of
the Auxiliary files, refer to the device's User's Manual.
Notes:
To load an ini file and/or auxiliary files to the device:
1.
Open the 'Load Auxiliary Files' page (Maintenance tab > Software Update menu >
Load Auxiliary Files).
2.
Click the Browse button corresponding to the file type that you want to load, navigate
to the folder in which the file is located, and then click Open; the name and path of the
file appear in the field next to the Browse button.
Version 6.2
The current settings of parameters that are not included in the loaded ini
file are retained (incremental).
After loading the ini file, the device does not reset. Some files (e.g., Call
Progress Tones) are not changeable on-the-fly and require a device
reset.
Saving an auxiliary file to flash memory may disrupt traffic on the device.
To avoid this, disable all traffic on the device, by performing a graceful
lock (refer to 'Saving Configuration and Resetting the Device' on page
44).
You can also use BootP to load the auxiliary files to the device (refer to
the Product Reference Manual).
