To remove the pillion seat, remove the rear
fixing using the Allen key located on the
inside of the left hand side panel (see
page 39). Lift the seat up at the back for
complete removal from the motorcycle.
Collect the rubber washer.

To refit the seat, engage the seat's two hooks
and location pin into the bracket behind the
rider's seat. Fit the rubber washer and fixing
as noted for removal. Tighten the fixing to
9 Nm.
Warning
To prevent detachment of the seat during
riding, after fitting always grasp the seat
and pull firmly upwards. If the seat is not
correctly secured it may detach from the
motorcycle. A loose or detached seat could
cause loss of motorcycle control and an
accident.

2. Rider's seat
To remove the rider's seat, remove the pillion
seat (see page 40).
Pull the lock release, located at the rear of the
seat, rearwards to release the seat from its
lock. Lift the seat up at the back for complete
removal from the motorcycle.
To refit the seat, engage the seat's locating
tongue under the fuel tank.
