EFX Return Input

EFX Return Input
Six stereo return inputs are available for the connection of stereo devices, such as reverb processors, which do
not need extensive processing, or access to the full range of auxiliaries.
These inputs are, however, equipped with basic EQ and each return has access to two auxiliary sends. Returns
1-4 act feed Auxes 1&2 pre-fader, which can be used to send reverb or other effects to stage monitors. Returns
5-6 can send post-fader to Auxes 7&8. This can be useful when the console is being used for monitor purposes
or for chaining effects processors together.

7. LEVEL METER
Displays pre-fader signal level. The lower SIG lamp starts to light green about 12dB below nominal level, and
gains its brightness as to increase signal level. The PK lamp warns of signal levels approaching the upper
headroom limit, which means about 3dB to the clip point. We recommend that you reduce the source's output
level to avoid nasty clipping!
8. BUS ROUTING
Connects the channel signal to each of the GROUP and MIX buses.

1. LEVEL +4 / -10
Selects nominal input level between -10dBv (consumer
and semi-pro equipment) and +4dBu (professional
6
equipment).

2. R POLARITY INVERT
Reverses phase or, more accurately, polarity of the
right channel only.
3. L+R
Sums left and right signals together to make a mono
signal.
4. EQ
HIGH and LOW shelving filters operate at 12kHz and
8
80Hz respectively. The bell response MID band
centers on 2.5kHz.
5. AUX SENDS
Returns 1-4 can be sent to Aux buses and 2, while
returns 5 and 6 can send to Auxes 7 and 8. One
useful application of this is sending reverb to In Ear
9
Monitors.
6. MUTE
Mutes the channel signal from all outputs. This does
not include pre-fader Aux Sends.
