Construction
The control unit contains:
Heating system switch, display panel with
digital display, minimum temperature
regulator, limit thermostat (DIN Reg. No.
DIN TW 110898S, in the burner control
unit LGM 29.XX), electronics, selector
switch for operating mode, selector
knobs for boiler water temperature and
domestic hot water temperature, burner
fault lamp, emissions test switch, comfort
switch (only on gas combination boiler)
and integrated diagnosis system.

Heating program "w"
The burner is only switched on when the
cylinder has to be heated (switched by
the hot water cylinder control).
Boiler temperature sensor
The boiler temperature sensor is already
connected in the control unit and built
into the boiler.

Please note:
If hydraulic decoupling (i.e. a low loss
header) is used, a temperature sensor
must be connected for the common flow
downstream from the low loss header
(see Vitodens Technical Guide).
Frost protection function
The frost protection function is active in
all heating programs.
The burner is switched on at a boiler
water temperature of 5 °C and off again at
a boiler water temperature of 55 °C.
The circulation pump is switched on at
the same time as the burner and is
switched off again after a time delay.
For frost protection of the system, the cir
culation pump can be switched on addi
tionally to the burner for approx. 10 min
utes at certain intervals (up to 24 times
per day).
