Click [OK] in the [Local Area Connection Properties] dialog box, and then click [Close]
in the [Local Area Connection Status] dialog box.
Click [Properties].
Click [Allow] when the [User Account Con-
trol] dialog box appears.
The [Local Area Connection Properties] dialog box will
appear.
Select [Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/
IPv4)] (Windows Vista/7) or [Internet Proto-
col (TCP/IP) (Windows XP), and then click
[Properties].
If the check box for [Internet Protocol] is unselected,
then click and check the box.
Select [Use the following IP address]. Enter
the information as shown below, and then
[OK].
[IP address] : 192.168.0.XXX
[Subnet mask] : 255.255.255.0
Note: Here, "XXX" can be any number between 1 and 254.
However, be sure to avoid the numbers overlapping
with those for other computers or devices. Here, as
an example, enter "192.168.0.101" for the IP address
and "255.255.255.0" for the subnet mask."
