Carriage board

8-54 Phaser 300i and 300RX Color Printer
Warning
The printhead is hot; be careful. To avoid injury, allow it to cool
before handling it.
1. Power down the printer and remove the paper tray. Remove the
printer cabinet covers.
Caution
Use static electricity precautions: the carriage board is very
sensitive.
2. Remove the printhead as described in the earlier procedure
"Printhead" on page 8-12.
3.
Disconnect the 2-pin cable from the transducer.
4. Remove the strain relief cable screw.
5. Remove the dot clock encoder strip by following the earlier procedure
"Dot clock encoder strip" on page 8-51.
6.
Remove the four screws securing the carriage board to the carriage.
Remove the board.
7. Disconnect the data ribbon cable from the carriage board.
