- Top-up cards, with pre-paid units. When the
units have all been used up, the card must be
"topped up" with credit (e.g. for € 15 or € 25).
- Service contracts with a simplified charging
structure. Various store chains, discount busi-
nesses and other companies offer these types of
contract.
Your mobile phone is suitable for any type of contract
and can be used without restriction with SIM cards
from all mobile phone network operators and/or ser-
vice providers throughout Europe (in some EU coun-
tries you will need a card from a local supplier). It can
also be used worldwide for other mobile phone net-
works (in Asia and America).
You can of course use your mobile phone with a SIM
card from an ongoing contract or from an existing
phone.
When the phone is not fitted with a SIM card, it is only
possible to call the 112 emergency number in a few
EU-countries for a shrt time. Please see page 137.
Handle and look after your SIM card with great care in
order to avoid damaging it. If your SIM card is lost, sto-
len or damaged, please contact the network operator
and/or service provider you obtained it from as soon
as possible.
