Older SIM cards (before 2002) can cause problems when the mobile
is switched on. SIM card suppliers will normally exchange new cards
for old ones free of charge.
Check whether you are still receiving an error message by using the
SIM card from another network operator.

Trouble-shooting

If you encounter problems when using your phone, please feel
free to contact us via our website www.fitage.com or our
Helpline (the phone number on the back cover). You can obtain
further information on trouble-shooting and our service provision
from here, as well as on a range of questions you may have.
A.) Problem: It is not possible to switch on the phone or to recharge
it. After attaching the charger, the "Battery charging" message does
not appear in the display and the red LED top left does not light up.
Solution: It can take up to 4 minutes for the display to appear and for
the red LED to light up when the battery is totally discharged.
Have you accidentally attached the charger to the earphone jack at
the top on the side?
Check whether the charger is connected correctly and whether the
charging process is underway. Check the mains voltage and if neces-
sary use a different socket outlet. Check the power supply between
the mobile phone and the battery and clean the contacts if necessary.
The battery may be defective and should be replaced.
The keys and the display are lit up but there is no text:
Are you attempting to switch on the phone using a different key to the
one with the green circle bottom left by mistake? Have you pressed
the green circle key for at least 3 seconds?
B.) Problem: Outgoing call is not connected.
Solution: Move to another location, for example beside a window or
in the open, until the display registers the signal strength. If the net-
work is overloaded, you will have to try again later. Check whether
you have dialled the correct number. Check whether there is still
credit on your top-up card.
