4.7 SIM card

To be able to make calls with your phone, you need a
small electronic memory card called a SIM card.
(Size as illustrated)
It receives and saves all the information required to
operate the phone:
• Security codes such as your PIN number (Personal
Identification Number)
• Phone book
• Text messages
• Information on special services
How do I obtain a SIM card?
Your mobile phone is normally supplied without a SIM
card. Please contact your mobile phone dealer or a
network operator and/or service provider. You will be
able to take out a service contract with them. There
are a number of different types of contract which might
be useful for you depending on your usage (i.e. the
type, duration and frequency of your phone use):
- Post-paid (usually with monthly fees and state-
ments)
