14 Other functions and instructions
14.1 SOS functions
1: Although your mobile phone may have picked up reception
from a mobile phone network which is not related to your SIM
card, you will still not be able to make
or receive calls. However, it is pos-
sible to call the 112 emergency call
number to speak to the nearest
emergency call centre. You will be
able to use this service from the
information on the display.
2: Switch on your mobile and enter "112" instead of your PIN.
Press the large green call acceptance key and your phone will
call the nearest emergency call centre.
14.2 Using the phone without a SIM card
When you do not have a SIM card in your mobile phone, you
cannot make or receive phone calls. However, once it is
switched on, you can call the 112 emergency number and
speak to the nearest emergency call
centre (if this service is supported).
You will be able to use this service
from the information on the display.
NOTE: When you use the phone
without a SIM card, the operating
time of the mobile is significantly
reduced.
14.3 No network reception
When your mobile phone can not find
a mobile phone network for your SIM
card, you will see the message
"network search" at the top of the
display. Move to another position and
try to stand with your phone where
