Troubleshooting

SYMPTOM
UPS does not turn on
when On/Off switch
turned on.
On Line mode does not
come on.
On Battery mode does
not come on during
power failure.
Backup time is less than
rated or flashing Low
Battery LED.
Fault LED is on or
flashing.
The UPS generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy if not
installed and used in accordance with the instructions contained in the manual.
The UPS has been tested and found to comply with the limits established for a
Class A computing device pursuant to Part 15 of FCC rules and the radio
interference regulations of DOC which are designed to provide reasonable
protection against such interference when this type of equipment is operated in
a commercial environment. If the UPS appears to cause interference to radio or
television reception, which can be determined by switching the unit off and on,
relocate the equipment and/or use an electrical circuit other than that used by
the UPS.
CAUSE
Discharged batteries.
or
Faulty circuit.
No AC line power.
or
AC line voltage too high
or low.
or
On/Off switch turned off.
Low battery charge.
or
Faulty circuit.
Battery is not fully
charged.
or
Charger failure.
or
Battery failure.
or
Faulty circuit.
Check fault codes.

5. MAINTENANCE
REMEDY
Charge batteries.
Contact vendor.
Wait for AC line power.
Check input circuit
breaker.
Wait for voltage to
stablilize.
Turn on On/Off switch.
Charge batteries.
Contact vendor.
Recharge batteries for
at least 4 hours, then
test the backup time
Contact vendor.
Clean and tighten
connections.
Check batteries and
replace if necessary.
Contact vendor.
Correct fault.
Contact vendor.
