Hard drives

The server supports four 3.5-inch hard disk drives, two in each tray (one per server) or eight 2.5-inch
hard disk drives, four in each tray (two per server). You can install two 3.5-inch hard disk drives or
four 2.5-inch SAS or SATA hard drives. An HBA is required to support SAS hard disk drives.

To install a hard drive:
Unlock the HDD carrier latch.
1.
Raise the HDD handle.
2.
Lower the HDD and align 5 pins.
3.
Lower the HDD handle.
4.
Slide the HDD latches to lock the handle.
