SAFETY RULES FOR OPERATING YOUR FIREPLACE

• Use only an Osburn glass door, specifically designed for the model Osburn Stratford.
• When cleaning the fireplace, the ashes should be placed in a metal container with a tight
fitting lid. The closed container of ashes should be placed on a non-combustible floor or on
the ground outside the house, pending final disposal. If the ashes are disposed of by burial in
soil or otherwise locally dispersed, they should be retained in the closed container until all
cinders have thoroughly cooled.
CAUTION: NEVER USE GASOLINE, KEROSENE, CHARCOAL LIGHTER FLUID
CAUTION: KEEP COMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS AT LEAST 48 INCHES AWAY
CAUTION: NEVER LEAVE CHILDREN UNATTENDED WHEN THERE IS A FIRE
CAUTION: NEVER USE GRATE OR ELEVATE FIRE. BUILD WOOD FIRE
CAUTION: DO NOT USE A FIREPLACE INSERT AND OTHER PRODUCTS NOT
