Cleaning the milk pipework with the
Original Miele cleaning agent for milk
pipework
Ensure that all components in which
milk is transported are cleaned on a
regular basis.
Milk naturally contains bacteria that
rapidly multiply if the milk pipework
is not cleaned properly. Soiling in
the appliance may be dangerous to
health.
The milk pipework must be cleaned
approximately once a week. The coffee
machine will remind you to do this.
Three days before the milk pipework
must be cleaned "Days until "Clean milk
pipework": XX" appears in the display.
The coffee machine shows the number
of days remaining until the milk
pipework must be cleaned.
^ Touch the OK sensor to confirm this
message.
When the number of days remaining
reaches 0, "Clean milk pipework"
appears in the display. The machine is
blocked from preparing any drinks
containing milk.
^ Touch the OK sensor.
You can only prepare espresso, coffee,
long coffee and hot water. You can only
prepare drinks containing milk after the
milk pipework has been cleaned.
The cleaning process cannot be
cancelled once it has started. The
process has to be completed through
to the end.
Cleaning and care
To clean the milk pipework:
^ Touch x.
^ Touch Y repeatedly until
"Maintenance" is highlighted in the
display.
Touch the OK sensor.
^ Use the arrow sensors to highlight
"Clean milk pipework". Touch the OK
sensor.
The process begins and various
messages appear in the display.
^ Follow the instructions in the display.
When "Fill the water container with
cleaning agent and lukewarm water up
to the symbol 8 and replace" appears,
proceed as follows:
Making a cleaning solution
The cleaning agent for milk pipework
has been specially developed for this
coffee machine. You can purchase it
from Miele or online at miele-shop.com
(depending on country).
Only use this cleaning agent with
your Miele coffee machine.
Otherwise, it may be damaged.
^ Add one sachet of the cleaning agent
for milk pipework to the water
container.
