Annual Charity
Golf Tournament
Despite the weather, participants,
sponsors, volunteers come together for
a fun filled day on the links.
G
F Financial Group's Annual Charity
&
Golf Tournament took place at
Richmond's Greenacres Golf Course
on September 13. With a rainy morning
that gradually transformed into a
breezy afternoon, participants made
their way through a series of fun filled
activities, challenges, prize draws, and
an exciting round of golf.
Once again, over
$20,000 was raised!
This year's winning foursome was led
by Fleetwood Branch Manager, Ruby
Dhillon, and included team members
Aman Bains, Ranj Deol, and Dale
Mand. Congratulations also go out
to Men's and Ladies' Longest Drive
winners Aman Bains and Colleen
O'Neill, Men's and Ladies' Closest
to the Pin winners Dale Mand and
Cindy Fergusson, as well as Charity
Raffle winner Darcy Davis. Darcy is the
lucky recipient of a 55" Samsung LED
HDTV, a home entertainment package,
a netbook computer, and a $250 Best
Buy gift card.
Over $20,000 was raised from the
tournament and raffle. Proceeds
from this year's tournament benefit
SOS Children's Village BC, a local
organization dedicated to improving
and sustaining the quality of life for
foster children. The tournament was
a success due to the unwavering
support of our sponsors, golfers, and
volunteers. A big thank you goes out to
all sponsors, volunteers, golfers, and
participants of the Charity Raffle for
their support of the tournament and
SOS Children's Village.
