13.2 Cleaning the document

Clean the rollers when documents frequently misfeed, or
when a line or a dirty pattern appears on documents.
Caution:
R Do not use paper products, such as paper towels
or tissues for cleaning.

Turn the power switch OFF.

Open the ADF cover (A) while holding down the
document cover (B).

Clean the document feeder rollers (A) with a cloth
moistened with water, and let all parts dry thoroughly.

Close the ADF cover.

Turn the power switch ON.

13.3 Cleaning the drum cartridge

Important:
R If the groove of the drum cartridge is dirty, lines
or dirty patterns may appear on printed sheets.
Be sure to remove any toner remaining on the
inside of the drum cartridge to maintain the print
quality.
R The cleaner for the drum cartridge is pre-installed in
the unit. Open the front cover, and remove the
cleaner (A) attached on the right side of the unit.

R Insert the cleaner (A) into the left groove (B) and
move it from side to side at least 3 times to clean the
