8. On PC Open up cmd prompt (XP - start, run, cmd; Windows 7 – start, type in cmd Windows 8
– go to task menu, right click, select show all items, chose command prompt tile, MAC –
Google for customer OSxx in order to obtain address information)
9. Type ipconfig – press enter
10. It will give you the range of addresses (based on subnet mask), subnet mask and default
gateway.
11. Once you have done this if you have an assigned pool of available static IP addresses use one
of these
12. If not (more likely scenario) pick an address at the back end of the range.
13. Ping this address.
14. If you can reach it – it is in use and you'll need to pick another.
15. If it times out you should be good to go.
16. On OfficeSuite Polycom SoundStation IP 6000 Conference Phone go to
17. Setup (hit immediately when powering up)
18. Enter password (456)
19. Hit Ok / Select
20. DHCP client
21. Disabled / Select / Select
22. Enter OfficeSuite SoundStation IP 6000 Conference Phone IP address (use * for . dot) (see
item 1 above) / Select / Select
23. Enter Subnet Mask (see item 1 above) / Select / Select
24. Enter IP Gateway (Default Gateway) (see item 1 above) / OK
25. Enter Exit
26. Save and Reboot / Select
27. Phone will now reboot
If you connect to OfficeSuite via a Private IP MPLS Connection
1. Plug Laptop into same LAN as OfficeSuite Polycom SoundStation IP 6000 Conference Phone
2. Have the static IP address of the site you are at handy (this will be BVN provided)
3. On OfficeSuite Polycom SoundStation IP 6000 Conference Phone select "Setup" when
powering on the phone.
• Enter password (456)
• Hit Ok
• DHCP client
• Enabled
• Enter default gateway (static IP)
• Enter Exit
• Select / Save and Reboot
Once the phone reboots, select "Menu"
