2.7.3 Installation Procedure

Check for damage especially to the interface connector, do not install if any pins are bent.

2.7.4 Interface Cable Attachment

2.7.4.1 Termination
External Ultra-320 compatible termination is required.
Important External termination should be fitted to all unused I/O connectors to ensure termination of the
SCSI bus. I/O modules do NOT contain any bus termination.
2.7.4.2 Connections
Warning Ensure that the maximum total cable length does not exceed 3 metres for U320 operation,
especially if multiple devices are "daisy chained" on the same channel.
• Connect External Ultra-320 SCSI compatible cables to either of the connectors.
• On a 2 x 4 I/O module, the right hand side (from rear) connects to Channel 0 (device Bays 1/1 to 2/
