and fittings are secure and free from leakage.
NOTE:
Additional point-of-use systems (i.e.,
icemakers) may use additional filters along their
cold water supply line.

Follow
flushing,
conditioning,
sanitizing procedures found on pages 3 and 4 to
prepare your water treatment system for the best
possible drinking water.
Slowly turn saddle tapping valve until fully open.
Check the stem seal for leakage (use minimal
pressure to tighten).
FLUSHING, CONDITIONING, CLEANING AND SANITIZING PROCEDURES

EQUIPMENT NEEDED:

Rubber gloves, sanitary
Liquid dish soap
Household bleach - Unscented Only
(5-1/4% sodium hypochlorite)
Plastic bucket
Plastic bowl
Plastic storage bag
Safety glasses
"O" ring Lube FDA approved (P/N 030429-001)
New filter set (refer to Figure 3).
NOTE: A clean work area and equipment are
essential to properly clean or sanitize the system
(i.e., clean hands, tools, and containers).
Filter Flushing Procedure:
1. Filters are installed.

ACTIVATING THE SYSTEM

Remove any filters or
cleaning
and

Confirm the system is producing water.
Icemaker/Extra point-of-use: Check these supply
lines for leaks.
Allow the reservoir to fill.
DO NOT USE THE FIRST THREE
RESERVOIRS OF WATER.
Discard (to drain) the first three full tanks of water
by opening the faucets until water flow stops,
then close faucet.
NOTE: System is ready to use. Should there by
any aftertaste or odor to water, repeat Steps 4
and 5.
Disconnect the blue tube located on the center
port of the quad filter housing top. Depress the
blue collet and pull the blue tube outward.
Run a ¼" OD tube from the nearest drain location
to the open center port on the quad vessel.
Connect a ¼" OD tube from the inlet fitting to the
water supply source.
Turn on water supply.
Flush the filters to drain for approximately 10
minutes.
Turn off water supply.
Remove the drain tube and reconnect the blue
tube to the center port of the quad vessel.
Proceed to section B.
