Many of the configuration choices that can be made at the control panel can also be
made through CrownAdmin network utilities. CrownAdmin accesses the printer
through your network to give you the ability to make configuration changes. The
graphical user interface contains buttons that give you direct access to printer fea-
tures. You can access the printer webpage (CrownView) through CrownAdmin or run
a Remote Console session.

The printer's configuration menu allows you to change the default configuration set-
tings. Any changes made to the configuration will reside as new default settings and
affect all subsequent print jobs.

Note: Some changes take effect immediately and others take effect after the printer is
rebooted.
The options in the configuration menu are organized under three main menus: Opera-
tor Control, Administration, and Installation.

Make sure the printer is idle.
IDLE displays in the message window.

Press the Online key to take the printer off line.
The On line indicator is not lighted.

Press the Menu key.
 Caution: To ensure that you don't lose any of your custom configuration settings,
before making any configuration changes, you should print an advanced status page.
Set the status page type to Advanced under Administration/Special Pages/Status
Page Type and then print the status page under Administration/Special Pages/
Print Status.
