Using the [Custom] Menu

Disabling Operational Sounds and the Output of Light at once ([Silent
Mode])
Applicable modes:
This function is useful for recording images in a quiet environment, public facility, etc.
or recording images of subjects such as babies or animals.
From the Recording screen > [
Settings: [ON]/[OFF]
≥ Operational sounds are muted, and the flash and the AF Assist lamp are forced off.
The following settings are fixed.
– [Flash]: [Œ]
– [AF Assist Lamp]: [OFF]
– [Beep]: [OFF]
– [Shutter]: [OFF]
≥ Operational sounds of the unit, such as the sound of the lens aperture being adjusted, are not muted.
≥ [Silent Mode] cannot be set in the Panorama Shot Mode. Setting of other Recording Mode will be reflected.

[Custom] > [Silent Mode].
