WARNING LIGHTS
The presence and operation of the warning lights depend on the vehicle equipment and country.
A
Ä
Antipollution warning light
The warning light comes on
when the ignition is switched on, and
goes off after a few seconds.
– If it lights up continuously, consult an
approved dealer as soon as possi-
ble;
– If the warning light flashes, reduce
the engine speed until the light stops
flashing. Contact an approved dealer
as soon as possible.
Refer to the information "Advice on
antipollution, fuel economy and driving"
in Section 2.

x
Anti-lock braking system
warning light (ABS)
The warning light comes on when the
ignition is switched on, and goes off
after a few seconds. If it does not go
off after a few seconds, or it comes on
when driving, this indicates a fault with
the anti-lock braking system. Braking
will then be as normal, without the ABS.
Contact an approved dealer as soon as
possible.
Cruise control and speed
Î
limiter indicator lights
Refer to the information on the "Cruise
control/speed limiter: functions of the
speed limiter" and "Cruise control/
speed limiter: functions of the cruise
control in Section 2.
\[

This indicator shows the
optimum time to change up a gear (up
arrow) or down a gear (down arrow).
Depending on the vehicle model, this
indicator flashes out when the gear
lever is not in the neutral position when
starting the engine. Position the gear
lever in neutral or depress the clutch
pedal.
Preheating warning light
É
(diesel version)
This should come on when the igni-
tion is switched on. It indicates that the
heater plugs are in operation. This goes
out as soon as the engine starts.
Water in the diesel filter
^
warning light
If it comes on when you are driving, it
indicates the presence of water in the
diesel. Contact your approved dealer
as soon as possible.
