CHECK

Check
to
be sure that the belt is not damaged and that the
V-belt is correctly attached to the
groove of the
pulley.
NOTE
lf
there is abnormal noise or belt
slippage,
tension and check for unusual wear or abrasion
of the pulley contact surface, and for scars or
the pulley.

there is a deviation from the standard value
range
Press
in V-belt at the illustrated position with

kg.

lbs.l and
measure deflection.
Standard value:
6-9
mm (O.24-O.35 in.l
an
adjustment of the belt tension by following the
described below.

Loosen bolts A, B and
C (for
holding the oil pump).
(2)
Place
a
bar or similar object against the
pump, and, while
manually providing
amount
of
tension, adiust the amount of amount
