Bottom V Board Removal
First remove the bottom V boards by gently lifting them up at the front edge. Care should be taken with the
thin sections that surround the cast bottom grate so they do not break.
Rear V Board Removal
Remove t he r ear l eft a nd r ight v ertical V b oards b y g ently p ulling o ne e dge o ut fi rst, t hen s lide f orward. N ote t hey
are handed with a cut out in the corners.
Side V Board Removal
The left and right side V boards can be removed by gently pulling one edge out first then, slide the boards
towards t he c entre o f t he fi re.
To r eplace t he V b oards o ffer o ne e dge i n fi rst a nd t hen p ush t he V b oard g ently b ack.
Note:-­ T hey s hould b e p ushed b ack fl at a gainst t he s teel b ody o f t he fi re.

Flue A daptor R emoval ( If fi tted t o fi re)
With the internal components removed it is now possible to get to the flue adaptor bolts. These should be
removed a nd t he a daptor c arefully r emoved f rom t he t op o f t he fi re. T ake c are n ot t o d amage t he a daptor s eal.
If s ome o f t he i nternal V b oards a re s till i n s itu t hen c are s hould b e t aken w hen r emoving a nd r eplacing t he fl ue
adaptor bolts so that none of the internal parts become damaged.

Inner Firebox "Engine" Removal

Finally w ith t he a daptor r emoved t he i nner fi rebox e ngine c an b e r emoved.
Slide t he i nner fi rebox " engine" o ut o n t he g uides f rom t he o uter b ox. T he e ngine c ontains e asy g rip a reas t hat
allow 2 p eople t o e asily l ift i t o ut. W ith t he i nner a nd o uter b oxes n ow s eparate w ork c an b egin t o fi t t he o uter
firebox i nto t he p repared o pening.

Fitting the Firebox

Due to the modular construction of the unit, you can for instance:
Fit t he fl ue a daptor, a ir s upply p ipe a nd t he o uter b ox. T he r est o f t he c omponents c an b e k ept i n s afe s torage
while a ll r ough b uilding a nd fi nishing w ork i s b eing c ompleted. A t t he fi nal s tage, t he e ngine a nd fi nishing f rame
can b e fi tted.
This way there is less chance of aesthetic damage, or accidental damage to important components while building
work is in process.

Flue Adaptor Connection to Flue

it h as s eated c orrectly t hen t he 3 b olts m ust b e s crewed i nto t he n ut fi xings t o h old i t i n p lace.
If a n e xisting r igid fl ue i s t o b e u sed a nd i s s uitable t hen t he a daptor w ill n eed t o b e j oined d irectly t o t he fl ue.
