First r emove t he f ront t ertiary a ir t ube c losest t o t he d oor o f t he fi re.
To remove the tube, slacken the 8mm bolt using the 13mm spanner provided. Once the bolt is slack then the
cam catch can be rotated slightly so that the locator comes away from the tube hole releasing the tube. There is
no need to remove the 8mm bolt completely. It is easier for reassembly to just leave it loose.
Once this has been carried out then the tube can be slid across so that one end is released from the side
chamber to drop down allowing space to pull it out of the other side of the chamber.

the fi re. N ote t heir o rientation a s t hey a re l onger a long o ne e dge.
Finally remove the rear tube in the same manner as the front tube.
Replacement is the reverse procedure.
First fi t t he R ear T ube, t hen t he l ower V b oards a nd t hen t he F ront T ube.
CAUTION
Ensure that the cam catch locator is positioned in the tube hole when the bolt is tightened to trap the tube from
sliding o ut a nd t o e nsure t hat t he t ertiary a ir p orts a re i n t heir c orrect p osition w ithin t he fi re.
Ensure t hat t he V b oard b affles a re fi tted t he c orrect w ay a round.

The u pper V b oard b affle i s h eld i n p lace b y a c lamp t hat i s fi xed a t t he f ront t op o f t he i nner fi rebox. T he c lamp
is h eld i n p lace b y a s ingle s crew. T he b ack o f t he u pper b oard i s h eld i n a r ecess a t t he r ear o f t he fi rebox. T hus
the board is trapped between the clamp and the rear of the box.
To r emove t he V b oard u pper b affle fi rst r emove t he s crew t hat h olds t he c lamp i n p lace. T hen, p ull t he b oard
foreword out of the rear recess and lower the board down. Care should be taken to hold the board in place as
the clamp is removed so that the board does not drop down and break.
At this point for the purposes of fitting the fire the remaining V boards and cast bottom grate can remain in
position. H owever c are s hould b e t aken w hen r emoving a nd r eplacing t he fl ue a daptor b olts s o t hat n one o f t he
internal parts become damaged.
If required then the remaining components can be removed for greater access.
