In order to access the interior components of the coffee
maker, it may be necessary to remove the stainless
steel side cover panels on both sides of unit. These
panels are secured to the base plate with screws that
pass through the bottom of base plate and fasten into
panel nuts pressed into the side panels.
To remove the stainless steel side cover panels (See
Figure 4-24):
1. Pull unit out from installation and remove from the
installation cavity.
2. Remove door, drip tray and coffee grounds drawer
from unit.
3. Remove top stainless steel cover assembly.
4. If working from a countertop or table, slide
coffee maker off edge to access screws along
bottom edge of unit. Extract screws securing side
cover panel to base plate. Rotate unit to access
the screws for both sides. Lift panels from unit.
N N O O T T E E : : Laying the coffee maker on its side is not rec-
ommended. Damage to the external panels and slide
assemblies may occur.

The handle assemblies are mounted to the base plate
on each side of unit above the slides. Rubber
grommets allow the handles to flex.
To remove the handles (See Figure 4-25):
1. Pull unit out from installation until the handles of the
unit are accessible. Remove from installation cavity
if needed.
2. Using a 10mm socket or wrench, remove bottom
nuts, washers and grommets from handle assem-
bly.
3. Pull handle from base plate.

The slides are mounted with screws to each side of the
unit frame. The slide screws pass through the slides
and base plate and are secured with nuts.
To remove the slides (See Figure 4-25):
1. Pull unit out from installation and remove from the
installation cavity.
2. Using a 2.5mm allen wrench and a 7mm open end
wrench, extract slide mounting screw while using
the 7mm wrench to stop retaining nut from turning.
