Install the Battery Pack
Charge the battery pack for at least 3-5 hours before plugging the telephone line into the base unit.
Use only the 730628 lithium ion (Li-ion) battery supplied with the telephone. Replacement batteries are
also available through the NEC dealer.
Recharge the telephone on a regular basis by returning the handset to the
base after each telephone call.

Press down on the latch and lift and remove the battery cover.
2.
Connect the battery pack connector observing the correct polarity
(black and red wires) to the jack inside the battery compartment.
Do not exert any force on this connection. It could cause damage to
the battery or to the handset. The plastic connectors will fit together in
only one way. Make sure that you have made a good connection.

Align the left side of the battery and insert the battery into the battery
compartment as shown.
4.
To replace the battery cover insert the tabs of the cover into the slots
of the battery compartment and securely close the cover by pressing
down.
5.
Place the handset in the base with the key pad facing forward.
6.
Slide the handset down until it clicks into place.
